Opening Times from 1st June
Dear Parents and Carers
As you are aware, we are hoping to open the school to more pupils next week. Following the Government’s announcement tonight, we are able to offer places to Y8 and Y6, however, some of our supplies of essential cleaning products have not yet arrived in school. They might come in tomorrow, but rather than risk giving you little notice of any changes, the governors and I have decided that we will defer opening to Year 8 pupils until Wednesday, when supplies should have arrived. We have enough products to supply the three classrooms where our key worker pupils have been based but not enough to go into the six classrooms we plan to use for Year 8 pupils.
I apologise for the inconvenience this might cause and for any disappointment to our pupils, but I hope you understand that, in order to maintain health and safety,it is vital that we have sufficient cleaning products available in every classroom that will be used throughout the day.
On Monday and Tuesday we will be open to the pupils who have already been attending, plus two other children of key workers/vulnerable pupils and we will open to Y8 on Wednesday.
One of the measures we are taking to minimise infection risks is that we are hoping to keep pupils outside as much as possible. Please could you make sure that your child comes to school with adequate sunscreen. This should be applied at home before they arrive as we are unable to apply it at school. Older pupils may bring their own sunscreen and apply it themselves, but younger pupils will need help from home with this please.
We are hoping to have our Forest School up and running and Mr Viner will contact you regarding suitable clothing.
Thank you so much for your continues support and patience.
Stay safe!
